Todd Fincannon is the Senior Software Engineer at Energy Innovation, where he works with the firm’s policy programs to visualize smart energy policy using interactive software tools. After co-founding three successful tech companies, he shifted his focus to climate and energy in 2010. He won the System Dynamics Society Applications Award for his work as a member of the team that developed the En-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator at Climate Interactive.
At Energy Innovation Todd develops the Energy Policy Simulator web application, enabling policymakers and the public to find effective climate solutions in countries around the world. He developed a taste for simulation early on as an engineering intern on a Space Shuttle simulator at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
As a long-time Bay Area resident, Todd loves living in San Francisco, where the future is being invented every day. His favorite activities are attending concerts, walking around the city, and reading books, so many books.
