A new meta-analysis of seven clean energy policy studies led by researchers at prominent universities, think tanks, and non-governmental organizations finds strong agreement on the feasibility of achieving approximately 80 percent clean electricity by 2030 in the United States, as well as the immense economic and health benefits of a rapid clean energy transition. All studies rely on the latest renewable technology costs to conclude that a rapid transition is not only achievable but would also maintain affordability for electricity customers. The studies agree on the vast economic gains of ambitious clean energy policies including 500,000 to 1 million net new jobs and hundreds of billions up to trillions of dollars in new clean energy investment, while avoiding $1-3 trillion in health and environmental costs through 2050.
