Maddie is a Policy Program Associate at Energy Innovation, where she supports the firm’s work on electrification and electricity policy. She is passionate about mitigating climate change, especially through decarbonization and clean energy. Before joining Energy Innovation, Maddie worked with local environmental and policy-based coalitions as a community organizer, and in the nonprofit sector.
Based in Chicago, Maddie holds a B.A. in environmental policy and a Master of Public Policy from Loyola University Chicago. She has participated in research on restoration ecology, coral reef conservation and propagation, and beliefs surrounding climate change. Maddie was also a founding member at Loyola of the Student Environmental Alliance and worked with the Sunrise Movement, advocating for environmental justice, renewable energy, and climate change mitigation.
Maddie has also worked with the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in animal husbandry, research, and conservation. In her free time she loves to travel and scuba dive. Maddie enjoys spending time outdoors near Lake Michigan, reading, doing yoga, exploring restaurants, and with her pet parakeets.
