Lydia Brown is a Communications Associate at Energy Innovation, where she supports the firm’s policy program teams by showcasing their research through digital media. Lydia focuses on Energy Innovation’s social media outreach, website content production and analytics, email marketing, and press relations.
Before joining Energy Innovation, Lydia worked as a campaign manager and campaign consultant on several local, state, and federal races through the Blue Lab, where she helped first-time candidates navigate the political field while curating their platform and messaging. After two election cycles, Lydia transitioned to working as a freelance geopolitical analyst, writing for The Geopolitical and the Geopolitical Monitor.
She has been interested in the effects of climate change since she was young. Growing up in New Hampshire gave her the opportunity to not only see the seasonal changes, but to notice specific climate changes that occurred in her lifetime.
Lydia began her college studies while still in high school, and holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies from The College of the Holy Cross as well as a master’s degree in international relations from American University’s School of International Service, where she concentrated on U.S. foreign policy and global development. Her graduate research focused on the intersection between climate change and armed conflict in the Sahel.
