Elli Newman is the Project Manager to the Founder at Energy Innovation where she supports Founder Hal Harvey in managing his workflows including researching and communicating project findings. Prior to joining Energy Innovation, Elli worked with several NGOs such as Greenpeace and the Institute for Environmental Global Strategies in Tokyo, Japan. In these roles, Elli supported research and development of projects related to industry-level decarbonization and effectiveness of national environmental policy, respectively.
Elli holds an M.S. in environmental chemistry from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan and a B.S. in environmental sciences from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. During her academic career, Elli focused her research on atmospheric chemistry working on projects related to aerosol miscibility and harmful volatile organic compounds.
