Brendan is the Director, Electricity Modeling at Energy Innovation, where he leads modeling, research, and analysis of U.S. electricity sector policies. His work has provided valuable insights to policymakers, regulators, and stakeholders at state and federal levels on critical issues such as utility finance, integrated resource planning, electricity market design, system reliability, and air pollution regulations. 

With over 15 years of experience as an analyst, researcher, and consultant, Brendan has extensively evaluated and analyzed energy markets and policies, supporting decision-makers with rigorous and relevant analysis. His diverse roles have included advising philanthropic programs on the electricity sector policy, serving as an in-house expert for Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal Campaign, leading research on market design, system flexibility, policy design, and finance at Climate Policy Initiative, and providing research and analysis on energy market and regulatory issues at Analysis Group. 

Brendan holds an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, where he specialized in energy systems modeling and analysis, energy policy, and energy technology innovation. He also earned a B.A. in Economics from Macalester College.
