Hallie Kennan

Communications and Social Media Lead

Hallie Kennan is Energy Innovation’s Communications and Social Media Lead, where she leads the firm’s communications activities and assists in developing outreach strategies. As part of overall communications activities, Hallie oversees the website and social media accounts, and assists in creating email campaigns to clients and partners. She also manages media relations with reporters and editors, and assists in editing and formatting the firm’s materials prior to their publication. Previously, she has helped coordinate public launches for several projects within the firm’s program areas, including its launch of Energy Policy Solutions for the U.S. Prior to this position, Hallie held the roles of: Research and Communications Associate from 2014-2015 and Research Assistant and Intern in 2012-2013.

Hallie is a senior advisor for the San Francisco chapter of the Seed Consulting Group, a non-profit organization that provides pro bono consulting services to environmental and public health organizations in the Bay Area. Previously, she was a project consultant for Seed’s project cycle in spring 2016.

Hallie graduated magna cum laude from Bucknell University, where she earned her B.A. degree in Environmental Studies with minors in Economics and Spanish. While attending Bucknell, Hallie interned for the University’s Environmental Center to design and implement a campus-wide waste audit, which later became the basis for her senior thesis.
